Fall Clean Up
With the turning of the leaves it is clear that fall is just around the corner. Everyone always talks about “Spring Cleaning” and forgets that the fall has its own clean up and shift.
In the spring we are clearing out the old to bring in the new and in the fall we are preparing everything to go inward and have a rest.
We harvest what is ready from our gardens and store them for our use in the coming colder months.
We clean up and put away our outdoor entertaining areas and notice what needs fixing and replacing before the cold hits.
We start to feel into the changing energies and our need for sitting and observing increases while we turn our attention more inward.
With the energy of cleaning up and preparing for the changing season I wanted to write about cleansing spaces. You may recall back in February I ran a free workshop on How To Cleanse Yourself, A Space, and An Item and later updated and released it as a workshop.
Energy clearing and cleansing is very important to me and I feel it is something everyone knows they are supposed to do but either were never taught how to do it and are so far in that they are afraid to ask and be thought of as an imposter (that was me for a long time!), or are overthinking the process and are stuck in their one way of doing it or don’t due it to of fear they are doing it wrong.
Today I am going to briefly talk a bit about my process and the benefits and if you want to know more you can purchase my course and until the Autumn Equinox (September 21, 2019) receive a free emailed tarot reading specifically for you about the energies around you for the fall.
Firstly don’t overthink it, the simplest action can clear your energy and the energy of your home. Cleansing doesn’t need to be an elaborate ritual the smallest action is a ritual in itself. Simply lighting a candle or incense with the intention to freshen the energy is just as effective as lighting specific herbs, and chanting a well thought out and specific set of words. What matters is your intentions behind what you do.
Secondly your ritual should be personal and not compared to other people’s. You may not like the smell or are allergic to an herb so don’t use it even if it is the one EVERYONE else is using.
Lastly there are so many different types of tools to use you don’t need to always use the same one. Sometimes use your burning herbs, other times a spray made with essential oils, others use sound, and maybe for a special cleansing use all of them together.
Find the tools and rituals that work for you and start doing them and feel yourself and your home getting lighter and more relaxing.
If you have any questions about cleansing and clearings send me an email or sign up for the How To Course.
Blessed BE!
