Cancer New Moon – Take Two
Two new moons in the same sign is such a rare occurrence so much so that I had to look up a few times to make sure I was reading it correctly. Emotions are running extra high and and leaving us feeling a little drained.
Earlier today on my Facebook page I shared a meme talking about the double cancer new moon.

Double Down
Lets work off of what we started at the last Cancer New Moon last month and double up the energy of that!
Family Time! Spend some of the glorious warm days of summer with your family and be outside! I know we are still limited in how we interact with others right now but there is currently no restrictions on being outside and social distancing from people not in your pod.
Go to the park and have a picnic and celebrate some of the birthdays and special occasions that happened during lock down.
Meet with friends to go for a hike and stay active and distant from each other.
While taking these extra family times remember to keep things light and to not push any issues, sensitive cancer will take things too personal and the smallest things can balloon well out of proportion.
Express yourself! Cancer like the crab that represents it tend to have walls up to protect the soft centre. Now is the time to let yourself be seen and expose what you are afraid people will see. Let your walls down and show your range of emotions, and feelings, especially to someone you fully trust. Likely you will find yourself uncomfortable and wanting to hide again but avoid that as you will be happier and stronger on the other side of it. If you feel yourself becoming moody explore that and see why you feel that way, doing something you love and can get out of your head doing will be helpful in this.
Self-care! This is a must right now, doubly so! Not only is self-care important in regular times (and we are certainly far from regular times right now), but it is imperative during times of stress and uncertainty. I am not implying going out and doing something you are uncomfortable with like a spa (only you con determine your own risk adverseness and what you are willing to do), you could bring the spa to you with essential oils, candles, and soothing music. Self-care is not just spas and massages. Your self-care might be turning off the phone and screens for a day and sitting outside reading, writing, painting, or another activity you often put off doing. You might even just do nothing but watch the birds.
Self-care can be as small as letting your phone ring (or turn it to do not disturb) at certain parts of the days, enjoying your first cup of coffee alone and in silence or with a favourite album/song. It could be as big as taking a weekend to yourself to sleep, read, and recharge. Whatever your favourite self-care is do it. Take care of your family to and see about incorporating their favourite self-care in with yours and make it a family tradition to do.
Get yourself to water! I am a broken record on this one I know, but water is such a healing force for our souls and our bodies. Soak in a tub, get a pool for your backyard and sit in it, or have a longer than normal shower. Soak up the water and let it cool you in the summer heat, maybe enjoy a cool beverage of your choosing.
However you end up using this second New Moon in Cancer just remember to enjoy it and set your goals and set up the second half of the year to be the best it can be (not too hard as 2020 has set the bar low).
